2013 and News

2013 is upon us and in full swing and  I cannot believe it is February already.   As you can see, this is really not a true blog, and I am starting a fresh blog on Wordpress.com and will post a link to that later this Fall when it gets up and running.
In the meantime, I wanted to let everyone who visits here to know that YES, Rue de la Paix still has hundreds of hats and over 1000 trims to put up for sale on the website.   The past year has been one that found me spending most of my time researching and writing, working with several museums, conducting vintage hat shows, and finally getting back to finishing a long overdue inventory and conservation of my personal collections.  There has been much to do, and 2012 was a very good year.
Please contact me if you are seeking a particular antique or vintage hat, as I just may have what you are looking for.  Plus all those specialty trimmings, veiling, and feathers  from 1860 to 1950 are still here in storage, so ask if you need something to set your millinery creation apart from the rest.
Of course, I am here to help answer any questions you may have concerning hats, hat collecting, or millinery in general.  Have you inherited your great aunt's hats and need to know what you have?  I am more than happy to help.  I love to read and answer e-mails and all I ask in return is a smile.
Thank you to all of my website customers of the past 2 years, and all of the new friends I have made through the website and through other venues.  And a special thank you to my fellow members of the Costume Society Of America, The Vintage Fashion Guild, and the Costume Guild West.  I treasure each and every one of you.
More to come!
 Kind wishes,  Babette
